Hi
I have a notion of buying a Cupra Ateca and am interested in Wheel and Tyre insurance and Gap or RTI as they call it now
Anybody on here got any recommendations for these .
Thanks in advance

Depending on the alloys it may not be worth it, I have copper and they can only do a piss poor job as a repair, and will only contribute a small amount towards replacement. Gap is of value, you can get lower prices searching the web, but using a reputable company, they are not that much cheaper, but worthwhile in the event of a total loss claim.

don’t forget as soon as you drive away you loose the vat value on your car.

I bought both with the car. Gap insurance is definitely worth it, and have heard a lot of stories about it being cheaper online (such as ALA). Alloy wheel insurance - depends. I'm 14 months in and haven't needed it. The Mrs wanted it in case of minor accident. But given the Ateca either has copper wheels or diamond cut, I wonder whether the repairs will ever be good enough. Perhaps there's also a cheaper third party alternative for this which might make it more worthwhile.
