Just washed me new car for the first time and noticed two rears missing.

Didn't lose any on the 1.8FR.

I've lost a few. I bought a cheap set off ebay only to notice the ones for the locking wheel nut need to be bigger :(

I may have 4 locking wheel ones if you want... If I can find them I can drop them in the post, I took the locking bolts off when the key looked like it was getting mangled

If we can swap For 4 normal bolt ones that's even better

The Leon ones are a really loose fit, I have just tried on a set from a MY15 Skoda Yeti and they fit a lot tighter on the normal Leon bolts, the locking bolt ones fit about the same. They are silver though, not black. I am going to be ordering a set of Yeti ones I think.

I also tried some from a mk1 Fabia and they also fit a lot tighter than the Leon ones, but the locking one is a totally different size.

Now lost 4 so far :(

Found the tow hook cover from the front bumper hanging out yesterday as well - this car is falling to pieces!

Nope - they just fall off. I could go round the car every time I stop and push at least one back on.

Mine's nearly new, POB - October 2015. I wonder if that's the problem, bretth1974..might have to pop into the local dealer on the way home tonight.

Mine's a 13 plate and all are a nice snug fit. They've all been on and off a few times for new tyres too.

My old man picked up his new Audi last month and has lost too already, they look identical to mine other than his are anthracite rather than black. So it seems to be a general VAG problem.

I've had my Leon since the end of June 2015 (brand new) and all the caps are present without any problems. I even cursed that they're on bloody tight, when I tried removing them. Maybe they've improved it since launch?

I was going to say that looks like the oil rig in Belfast then discovered where you are from :)

Just to let you all know I've just had my Leon serviced and mentioned the vanishing wheel nut caps. The initial response was 'oh I don't think you'll get that on warranty', but when picking up and paying for the service he said 'oh we looked into the wheel nut cap problem. The ones you do still have are the wrong ones for that car so we're ordering you in a new set and will let you know when they're in'. Not a bad result. Seems odd to have the wrong ones on there though.

The likelihood is that they weren't the wrong ones. They were a bad design from the factory and SEAT know this. They have since resolved this issue and now the new versions are a much tighter fit. I have fitted the new caps last week and they ain't falling off anymore. I'm glad they resolved the issue and now you can look forward to having a few spares in the glove box!!

You sure they aint the older type covers that just fit better? as my dealer says thats what they are getting for customers who have lost their covers.....(as they havent heard of an updated version)

Anyway getting 16 covers next week free as its a known issue with Seat
