Just picked up my LCR with its nice new shiney painted alloy wheels Free work under warranty

Whats the best sealant to use on them now to protect them?

Poorboys wheel sealant is good used it on my GTi and R32 with diamond cut finish and worked a treat after a few coats where on. Cheap too.

Opti-Seal. Just put this on mine anyway, with it being a spray its a dodle!

Im going to try Opti-Seal

Says it can be wiped on with an applicator and left basically, Detailing World seem to like it so must be good



Do i need to put wax on first or can i simply apply a sealer to clean wheels?

Using 2 layers of cQuartz then 2 of Britemax Xtreme Elements. Dirt just falls off when hit with a jetwash.

Blackfire all metal sealent, by far the best. I'v tested poorboys, chemical guys, opti-seal, swissvax autobahn. Nothing come close to the shine or durability for that matter. Its expensive though!

FK1000p gets my vote too. A couple of coats of the paintwork, 3 coats on the wheels and I'm all set for winter. Nothing sticks to it, great product! Plus a tin lasts forever so it's good value too.

Anyone have any recommendations for what to use on the leather in an R?
