Hey guys, I upgraded my brakes with 6 pot caliper from porsche with 375 mm disks, and so i was wondering what it the max ET and J you use on your cars, because it seems that it should be under ET40 so it can fit on the calliper, but i don`t know if I can use 8.5J with ET40, because I don`t know if it will rub on the wheel arch or in the insede on the shock. Any help would be great thanks.

At the moment i`m running the stock wheels with 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm on the back, but there is a lot of rubbing on all four wheels.

I am running Alcon 6 pot 380 x 32 mm and run the following wheels
8.0x19 5x112 ET45 OZ RACING ULTRALEGGERA HLT
8X19 FOX FX004 5X112 ET45 73.1

No spacers but I do run negative camber on both front and rear wheels and lowered with coilovers.

Those big beautiful brakes 😍

...with Linglong tyres 🫣...

Non monsieur, je n'utilise que des pneus de qualité (actuellement Michelin PS4S pour les pneus de route et Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Connect pour le circuit)

or put another way PS4S for the road and Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Connect for the track and they both work very well under pressure.

These are very old photo's but it gives you an idea of the setup, I would also point out in parts of Euope you cant use this setup as it wont pass inspection, lucky in the UK we dont have the difficulty as long as the seup is safe.

beautiful setup, but i feel like mine are sticking out too much from the center of the wheel, that`s why i need a wheel with at least ET40, but if it ET40 and with 8.5J will it rub on the arches or the inside on the shock

This is one of the reasons you don't find many MacPherson strut type suspensions with big brakes! Difficult packaging!
All the big Audi's/Porsche/BMW etc, use multi link suspension which incorporate virtual steering axis (two ball joints) so they can package much bigger brakes and still get good wheel geometry.

I can't help on your particular problem - but I do know the actual spoke design also plays a big part - so even in one ET40 fits, doesn't mean all ET40's will ift.

Sorry cant help if your setup will work but I have a memory back in the day there were a number of threads about this subject to confirm what did fit inside the wheel arch so have a look.

However I will fully agree with @SuperV8 as I have seen a number of posts in the past where people have purchased wheels but they don't fit and it was down to how the spokes were setup on the wheel and causing problems with the brake calipers.

My current wheel setup is 8.5*19 ET45 BBS CI-R wheels with 245/35 tires, the front brake setup is the Racingline 6 pots with 380 discs. Car isn't lowered or has spacers. At first it rubbed like crazy on these little plastic arch things any time the road wasn't a smooth as a racetrack. Since I had them removed it still rubs but only if I hit a crater.
