Where can i buy decent 3.5" ducting hose?

in what section of b and q is stuff liek that likely to appear, iv only ever seen crappy tin stuff for heating ducting that tends to falls to bits after a while

ok il have a look, thanks, dont suppose you know the benefits of closing off the engine intake bit like in that linked thread do you?

not quite sure what the engine intake is, but at a guess id say that it was a flap that opened then the engine was revving high, so it sucked in warm air. it does it on my mk2 so a benefit blocking it would be that the engine only sucks in cold air which is more beneficial and means the engine gets the best supply of air throughout the range. i cant see it being anything else as blocking anything else couldnt be beneficial.

yeah thats what it is, thats what i thought it would do too, is there any downside to doing it? why would it need warm air?

4" semi rigid ally stuff is found in the ventilation section is good stuff, not the steal wire reinforced stuff

other than that it can get a bit expensive.
