Thanks a lot mate thats exactly what i needed No offence to anyone else but as i dont know anything realy about mods or what anything is called that list realy helped, I can research them all and decide what i want.

Can anyone tell me if a garage would order all these for me.... I mean a garage that specificly modifys cars If i made another list from the one above would they be able to order everything and fit or would i have to order?

Many thanks
Martin
You would be nuts to do the whole lot :clown:

Stattlers in Sheffield is where I had the works done on mine though!

If your going all the way to stage 2+ you might want to think about getting Vagcom aswell, so you can log your car, make sure everything is running safe and also see fault codes etc.

Can anyone elabirate on what a vagcom is as you might have already read above i know little about mods and am trying to learn

Cheers

As i am a tight bugger with my money i have managed to save a good few zero's in my bank account so cash wouldnt be a problem so i am looking to get all of this done.

Just that in scotland i dont know where abouts these garages are or who to speak to I have searched on google but like i have said it doesnt make much scence to me

Sheffield is a bit outta reach for me tho

Cheers

I am a fair bit further north than you- there is nowhere in Scotland that will properly do the biz sadly.

Cool thanks mate

Does the place u went to have a website or do u know of any?

No the Revo dealer i went to hasn't got a RR.....but was confident there would be a big change because i had the Revo on my S3......i'm going to a RR day next Sat so see how it runs but to be fair i'm not really fussed about the numbers because on the road its a weapon such a difference.....get it done u'll not be dissapointed.

Hi there.

I test drove a FL Cupra with R style exhaust and Revo stage 1. Sounded lovely- midrange was improved through the gears- smoother as well than my standard car. Going to get that done soon. I'd enjoy your standard car for a while mate for what it brings and then you'll enjoy the upgrades more at a later stage. Alwasy feel buying a new car and modding it a lt doesn't make sense. Better off buying a better car from the outset. No?

Marty,

VAGCOM is software run on a laptop and it plugs into your ODB port in the car.
You then do runs in your car in 3rd or 4th gear (2000 revs to redline) and it logs data, depending on what you have set to record.

This helps to determine if you car is running right (for example if you have a map you have not set you levels to aggressive and as a result have timing pull which is bad for the ECU). Various other data can be collected and analysed as well.

Furthermore you can use it to 'customise' some of your car settings. Such as switch on/off 'coming home' lights and many more.

You just need to buy the appropriate cable and software - more details at - http://www.vagcom.co.uk/

Furthermore, if you want customise your map REVO do an SPS (Select Plus Switch) that plugs into the ODB port and you can choose I think 1 of 3 maps. Usually STOCK and 2 custom one. Probably good for track days as you could increase the Boost for example

Back to your original question. There are many companies on here that allow you to order the parts via website (check the sponsors section on this forum).

Popular ones are Monster Motorsport (Nottingham), JKM (Portsmouth), Awesome GTI (Manchester), JBS (Chesterfield) to name a few.

Not familiar with those in Scotland.

However, with the others they would happily hold all items for you on order and fit. I guess Awesome are the closest but still a trek.

Good luck and keep us informed of your progress.

Any other questions just shout

itg intake
milltek turbo back exhaust (dcat optional)
apr fuel pump
revo stage 2+ remap

should get you to 360bhp :)

As above really for a easy start list... The FMIC (Intercooler) isn't totally necessary as the Cupra R has the same FMIC as the S3 IIRC and is fine unless you go bonkers with your settings etc..

An Autotech fuel pump at half the price of the APR is an option, and should be more than good enough for REVO stage 2+ imo.

Thank you all I am leraning a lot now I have looked up a good few products that i am considering, Obv like said above the most sensible thing to do would be to use all the warenty and get any niggles fixed that way But after that then i will look to start modifying my seat and i will keep u all posted

Any more info, or personel experiances will all be welcome Dont mind what they are.

Cheers
