Diag Plug

Hi,
There is a cover on the drivers side dash area, under headlamp switch, this pulls off, and the plug is behind it.
Regards,
Jochen.

Be interested to know how the DSG 'box copes with a remap, I'd be scared loading any unexpected torque and strains onto it and how the auto side of the gearbox copes with it, let us know how you get on, mate.

A mate has just had his A3 TDI S Line DSG remapped by Upsolute.
He requested for a lower torque map for the same reasons you are asking. I think the torque figure is 380Nm & he's had no problems so far.

Guess what! I cannot find any cover for the diagnostic port. Car 2007 model year Anyone who could provide a picture would be a star. I have pulled pushed and stuck my fingers behind all the panels and in every hole under the dash. Nothing

Hope I get a bit of luck

Thanks

It only started a few weeks ago. Have done 13,000 mls never happened before. Sounds like someone knocking to come in!! Also heard of any DSG issues with judder when changing gear from 1750rpm when gbox hot (dont do it as a habit). I have found that if in traffic and change fron 2nd to 3rd as manual change lets box select next gear judders lika a slipping old clutch

Car due to go in soon to have bonnet insulation cover changed as going mouldy. Something to do with washers leaking water. Will get other issues checked out, but need to leave car overnight for tapping noise, then get gbox hot!! Can`t win.

Still have same now intermittant dashboard vibration from new and still not fixed. Average mpg still not reached 40, yet Seat UK say no fault found. Don`t intend to give up, as great car.

If things get fixed then Goodyear f1 Assymetrics to replace Pirelli P7 then Superfin, unless common rail 2.0 tdi release soon.

Thanks again for your help

Remove the cover,-1- located below the steering column, using the lever -U-30800-, acting on the points shown -arrows-.
etc. etc.

– With ignition switched off, connect the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System -VAS 5051 A- to the vehicle diagnosis connector -arrow-using the diagnostic wire -VAS 5051/6A-.
– Switch ignition on
– Switch off all electrical components.
If you send me your pm I will email a word document
