Where to buy FR TDI?

Hi all,

After being out of the Seat fold for a couple of years I'm looking to rejoin, and purchase a FR TDI (preferably) of a Reference Sport TDI.

I have no problems with waiting for a car, and was just wondering where are diong the best deals, what price should I be expecting & is there any places to steer clear of!!!

I recently went through the various options for a TDI reference sport and came up with the following (based on metallic paint, no ther options):
gr8deal.co.uk - £13993
directseat.co.uk - £14145
drivethedeal.co.uk - £14006
cars4charities.co.uk - £13993

I did manage to get a Seat dealer to match the directseat.co.uk price.

I ended up going for an 06 plate with 100 miles on the clock for £13500 from a dealer.

I'm in same position but looking for an ex demo FR but they all seem at £17.99k - some of the REF sport models come out at nearly FR prices which throws me. Still looking tho. ........................

Well, ordered a black FR TDI on Saturday, standard with the exeption of bluetooth. Due for pick up 21st September! £16286 on the road via broadspeed, which aint to bad a deal in my eyes!!

I did the same thing nwith my Ibiza FR, ie asked for the same price as directseat.co.uk were selling them for and they agreed without any hesitation. The internet is a wonderful place.

I went on a few websites and got a price of £17,020 for the below car.... took this to Autoworld in sheffield who came in at £120 more expensive but could get me the car for 1st September rather than the november i was told by drive the deal. Didnt have to go down south to collect either!!

Paid 16282 for my fr tdi plus 500 quid for 18's and convenience pack which they knocked 50 quid off and they threw in the ipod connector for free at alexandra bridge cars in sunderland.

no, i went there but they could not beat the price i eventualy got. neither could arnold clarks in edinburgh, had to go down south, worth it though.

i didn't trade in as they offered me 6.5k for my 2003 mk4 gti so i am selling privately, Westgate Seat ask for Danny 01472348348 and tell him you know Keith, he will help you out. they have demo model for 15.5 with 2k on the clock at the mo.
