Where to buy OEM Diverter Valve - Mk1 LC

Hey chaps

Ive been searching high and low but cant seem to find a definitive answer on what model, and where to get hold of an OEM diverter valve. From everything i've read, im not going down the Forge route.

Apart from the main dealers or TPS I can supply you with a genuine used one in perfect working order.

Personally I wouldn't bother with an aftermarket one either, the standard oem ones are time proven to be best for these engines anyway.

If so they have a centre just a few miles from me which could be handy, im looking to get one in the new year so no need to buy second hand just yet, appreciate that though. The one i have is probs fine but the car doesnt have an extensive service history so im going to change all the smaller bits first.

Do you have any info on what model i should go for? Ive been seeing people speak of the grading (D, E etc) or is it just a matter of whatever is newest? I assume i'll need the diaphragm style?

Yes that's the correct TPS, some of the branches only serve the trade hence the name but there are plenty that also serve the general public as well.
Fortunately I have a friend who works for them in my local branch so I regularly buy genuine parts from there with a huge discount.

As far as I'm aware the latest revision is 06A145710P and what I purchased earlier this year.
If buying directly from the dealer or TPS they should give you the latest one anyway.

They are a main dealer that will post you the parts if you order by email. Very good prices too, have used them quite a few times.

Playing devil's advocate, both OEM or Forge aftermarket work. There is no best, they either work or they don't.
Only difference is lifespan of the part.

I'll get an OEM one then maybe look at a forge much later down the line, as the whip is totally stock anyway at the moment.

I'll get in touch with both provided links and see who has the best price. Then its just a matter of fitting it!
