You see the difference in quality very well in this pic.

sorry betty but thats not always the case.
speaking from my own experiances.
Its not hard to make an exhaust system when youve got a workshop full of machines to virtually do the job for you, its just the quality of welding that needs to be high.
On my old mk4 golf 1.8T the milltek i brought which came highly rated from tuners and other VW owners on various forums, to which i paid a hefty sum of £900. lasted only 2000miles before the welds broke on the rear silencer, then again 5000miles after when they replaced it. Alot of people have also had the same experiences, after managing to get a little of my money back, I ended up paying £240 delivered for a full 3" turbo back system from the US and it lasted 4 years with out a single problem.
99% of the time you pay for the name not the product, it seems these companys know the vag scene is a good source of income as we love to mod our cars and so boost up the price.

Everyone knows about miltek welds being sh1t and becoming rusty.

BCS exhausts cost more, they are better quality and the welds don't die.

BUT if they did, i am 110% they would go the extra mile to sort everything out for you

Whereas your cheapo ebay downpipe, you'd message them and hear f**k all back from them

I actually can't wait now,BCS then stage 2

I forgot to ring Awesome today, when I remember just after half 4 they had closed, but I'll ring them 1st thing Tuesday.

Make sure Awesome load the test pipes file to your car mate.
When I went they loaded the wrong file on twice!!! Yeah 3 seperate trips to get the correct file some 700 miles

You did though. Else you'd never have contacted milltek

so they must know that a product is going to fail if they need to add customer service into there price.

i know from personal experiance milltek, mongoose, blueflame are all pants. i dont know much about bcs exhausts but after i had i quote from them i decided against.

Difference between cheap sh1te and the "big named brands" is that the quality is excellent

That's a bold statement and way off. The miltek is one of the most expensive systems on the market and the quality of the welds on the ones I've had are very shocking. I had the cheaper mongoose systems on the wife's EP3 type R and my Evo 8 and they were both superb quality.

This one....

bought a downpipe for my cupra from the states for 130 quid all in. now if there was a pipe in the uk for 200 i would've considered it. but no, no where near. the welds look just as good as any, really. cant see the point in paying over the odds. if worried just buy 2 ffs, still cheaper!
a lot of places will sell the same pipe and pass if off as there own. its maximising profit thru branding. nothing wrong with it, it how the world work. just you dont HAVE to pay top wack, not in the case of ss exhausts at least. other stuff like turbos then you have a point, we fitted a few chinks and they went tits within 6 months. but these are mechanical moving parts where cost is directly related to tolerances.

.

BCS downpipe looks totally different to ebay downpipe

I am not saying that you HAVE to buy the most expensive things. There are alot of things where you can get a cheaper alternative that is just as good, but from my personal experience, the BCS exhaust is amazing quality.

Cant say much about cats as i went for a decat pipe, but as far as thats concerned its the same as others on the market, to be expected as the decat is a simpler device than with a sport cat.
