Which engine oil ?

I use the Quantum Longlife III 5w 30....not tried the Castrol Edge
Heard good things about this and maybe try it next

As it says on the tin "Longlife", does that mean that it can be left for around 10k mines in the engine ?
And I believe the Fuch Titan GT1 is good for Modified cars and as mine is standard hence going for the mainstream oils.
David at Sere motor has given me a quote for Quantum engine oil, oil filter and sump bung for £48 delivered which I believe is exceptionally good price as Castrol Edge oil on is own is about the same money hence the delima which one to go for.
after some research a few months ago I ended up going for the castrol edge 5w30 for my interim service

fairly decent price + you get a topup bottle with it so its handy enough
although the garage advised me to try a thicker 5w40 next time if the car 'consumes' oil which it does a fair bit of - not sure if this is a good idea?

I say get an OEM from SERE as I returned mine from eurocarparts but did get that oil £26.99 a few days ago

I think one of the oil filters in the link above should be oem. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If it isn't then I'll get one from my local as its worth few quids and dont want Dav at Sere to go through the hassel of posting.

Im not sure if they are OEM as they only supply Bosch or Guttmann. Not sure if Guttmann is the OEM supplier. :S
