which shocks???????

right guys, ive brought some koni springs which lower the car 30mm but i never got the shocks at the time as i didnt realise how much they were needed. now i realise i would like to buy some, however the koni shocks are 350 quid, does anybody know of any other good brands at a reasonable price, thanks all

I did the same, and have also got the koni spring kit.
I need new shocks too, but there arent any available at a good price really.


Tempted by some FK highsport coilovers though- as long as they have a DECENT RIDE QUALITY

Ive purchased the KW Varient 2 Coilover kit... Its pretty expensive, but if you want the best then you gotta pay for it fellas. I'll let you know what the rides like when the Dampers are fitted, should have em on by thurs. In my opinion i would recomend getting a kit with adjustable damping rather than just being able to adjust the ride height. Both is obviously the creme de la creme tho.

the reason im annoyed is that at the time when i got them i was unsure what to do, springs or full kit , so it was suggested that i go for the springs and do the shocks if i wanted, which i now would like to do, what they didnt say is that the price of the shocks is the same as the full kit all bar 15 quid, whats the point in that, really not pleased,

yeah and that cost me 160 quid which ill end up now paying twice, just really annoyed at this whole situation, i spent a lot of money with them and i expect better advice,

yes mate not too firm,which is what i like, i only want the shocks so it stops bottoming out if i hit potholes and its too spongy too, i dont drive fast i only got the kit for visual purposes which is why i never went coilovers, but didnt realise that i would need the shocks

If i knew you wanted springs i would have recommended Apex. I had them on my Punto GT with Koni dampers and they where excellent, stiff but not too stiff. My friend had Koni springs with Koni dampers on his Punto GT aswell and the ride on his car wasnt as stiff. He preferd the ride of my car to his.
