Who made the OEM shocks?

Does anybody know who made the OEM shocks?
I'm guessing Sachs but I'm not sure.

I believe Sachs made the shocks for the FR, but not sure if they did for all models. Not uncommon for the OEM to change either, so there could be more than 1 manufacturer.

I've always found Sachs shocks to be decent, just make sure you get the right part.

Looking around there does seem to be several very specific shocks for the Leon.

wow, thats a nice discount.
I've been pricing around and I saw some Monroe shocks at a good price.
wasn't too sure about Monroe but it looks like they were the OE supplier on the MK3 Leon
