Whooshing/whistling/siren noise

Hello,

I've searched high and low for an answer for my current dilemma. However, I can't find something related so thought I'd ask.

The issue I have happens when the engine is cold or warmed up. When I accelerate, there is a whooshing/whistling/police siren sort of noise. This happens as I go from idling rev up to 1500-2000rpm. Even when I decelerate the noise is still there. It genuinely sounds like the police are following me! Lol

What can be causing this sound? Can anyone shed some light on this?

For some background - I have the EGR delete from AwesomeGTI and a Miltek turbo-back exhaust fitted.

I think a siren noise is usually a turbo on it's way out. Search for siren on here and you will find info on it.
