the problem i have is that my heaters only blows luke warn air out when heater setting is on hot. What could this be????

both the flow and return pipes to the matrix ar boiling.

Any suggestions????

Maybe part of the control unit if the pipes are hot? So it's not giving you the temp you ask for. Sorry I'm not an expert so no idea how to explain properly.

How long have you had the car and where did you get it? Sorry for your problems. New engine :(

Access is poor for the thermostat - it's in the front of the block, where the bottom hose joins - but it can be done.

I'm not convinced it's the thermostat, as you say you have hot water going through the matrix. If the thermostat was staying open you'd see it taking a long time to get up to temperature - what does your dash gauge say?

Heater is fed from before the thermostat, so should get hot as soon as the car warms up.

Do you have manual dials to set the temperature, fan speed etc?

The dash gauge is on 90 and doesn't move so that looks fine.

its a digital one to adjust fan speed and temperature.

Is it worth changing the thermostat just to try it??
Ive read on something that it could be a flap motor thats gone. any idea?

As I said above, temperature control flap is a possibility.

Heater matrix is hot all the time, and the cooling matrix is cold all the time that the compressor is switched on. Climatronic sets temperature by mixing cold and hot air. This has the additional benefit that the heated air is dryer, as cooling it will have squeezed most of the moisture out.

Here's a diagram of the cabin ventilation components I've put together, as I seem to be answering this sort of question several times. Hope this helps.
