Why is there a hole in my inlet manifold?

i'm pretty certain its just an "indentation" type thing, doesnt go all the way through (and if it did i'm sure our cars wouldnt run). I think it might be used for a clamp or something similar to hold pipework/cables tidy.

I'm not going to block it up - its not causing a problem. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Sticking something in it is just extra weight to the car IMO - and I'm a speedfreak lmao

Tommorrow i'll double check how far it goes. Like Pabs says, if it was a full hole, the car wouldn't run, or it'd be sucking in all kinds of unfiltered crap.

As for weight saving, fold your back seat down flat

Even though mines a diesel, i'm fairly sure the N75 does the same job.

When i was having problems with boost a while back, it was because the N75 wasnt working due to a disconnected pipe. Essentially it became a normally aspirated engine and it was pants. Dont do it IMO.

You may not think a non re-mapped diesel isnt that quick, but 0-60 in 45 seconds? i think not.

Found out what the hole is for!

It's for the screw to hold on the bracket that routes the throttle cable on non-dbw cars!
