What standard ones do you have?? The one that was on mine was absolutely horrid and also a very weird shape,lol. any gear knob (apart from the anodized blue one) looked better then the standard one. Best thing to do is chop down the actual gearstick by about 50mm, then get a nice and simple satin finish ball gearknob from Richmond and hey presto, it already feels like you've installed a short shift ;)

i love the shape of the original!! I went from a ball shaped one n it felt horrible!

I would like to cut the gearstick down but because of the thread needed for the original gaiter i prob wont be able to do this!

Czech, how do you shorten the gearstick rod? is it as simple as it sounds...that could make a major styling change!

Well it goes something along the lines of:

Select 3rd
Hack away for 2 mins with a hacksaw
Attach new gearknob and secure using grub screws

that is the exact gearknob i had that is now sitting under my stairs i hate it!! Its a bit worn on the top as well!
