For my insurers to cover optional extras, I have to declare manufacturer fitted options to them. Don't charge for stuff like bluetooth, sat nav etc, but charge for parking sensors (£60 the thieving shits).

Anyway, I bought the car used, and was told they were the only optional extras fitted, however, I'm starting to think there might be one or two things more.

Would I be able to ring Seat UK and have them tell me? Is there any other way of getting the information if they can't do it?

Best way I would thing is e-mail seat uk with your reg and vin number

Cheers.

I'm assuming ringing them would be okay? I'd prefer get an answer ASAP over the phone, as they took ages to reply to my last e-mail.

I've also read on another forum (BMW forum) that if you give your VIN to a dealer, they should be able to tell you what factory fitted options are on your car.

I just took a look now, it appears half of those codes would be stuff i imagine as standard. Are these purely just extra options?

For instance, I have the 1.6TDI Ecomotive, it lists the engine as one of those codes, it also lists the fact I have modified gear ratios, which are standard features. It also mentions things like the multi function steering wheel (which I thought was standard?).

It doesn't make any mention of the bluetooth (unless this is included in radio/navigation unit), it doesn't make any mention of the rear tints (I'm not sure these are a mod, but I wouldn't imagine these would come as standard?)

These are the full codes.

PRCode: 1AT = Electronic stabilization program (ESP)
PRCode: 1G6 = Space-saving spare wheel
PRCode: 1NL = Covers for alloy wheels
PRCode: 2B2 = Additional exterior noise suppression
PRCode: 2ZQ = Leather trimmed multi-function steering wheel for air bag system
PRCode: 5RQ = Right exterior mirror: convex
PRCode: 5SJ = Left exterior mirror: convex
PRCode: 7MG = Emission standard EU5
PRCode: 8AY = Radio/navigation system
PRCode: 8BK = Twin headlight for driving on the left with integrated high beam
PRCode: 8GU = Alternator 140 A
PRCode: 8L5 = Roof antenna and diversity window antenna
PRCode: 8RM = 8 speakers (passive)
PRCode: 8TD = Rear fog light for driving on the left
PRCode: 8WD = Integrated front fog light
PRCode: B0N = Component parts set complying with vehicle type for Great Britain various parts
PRCode: C9L = Alloy wheels 6.5J x 16
PRCode: D38 = 4-cyl. turbo dies. eng. 1.6 l/77 kW (4V)TDI common rail Base engine is TF3/TN1/TJ1
PRCode: G0J = 5-speed manual transmission different spread of gear ratio
PRCode: G39 = Front shock absorption
PRCode: HH7 = Tires 205/55 R16 91V
PRCode: J2D = Battery 380 A (68 Ah)
PRCode: QG2 = No possibility of activating service interval prolongation
PRCode: X2B = National sales program Great Britain

Is there anywhere I can compare the standard features of my vehicle to the list?

I'm not sure how SEAT dealers work but Audi fit optional extras like bluetooth and parking sensors after the car has been delivered to them, they are not fitted at the factory so won't show on the sticker in the Service Book.

If you have the Seat Media System, Bluetooth is part of that so if the Sat Nav has been declared, so has bluetooth. I've still got the 2010 brochure and it shows tinted windows as standard on all models, but 'dark tinted rear windows' (privacy glass) is only standard on the SE and above.

just realised you got the car as an Ex- demo, just call the supplying dealer and they can tell you what options were on the car

Thanks for that about the privacy glass. I do have the SE model.

It was mainly the parking sensors, sat nav and tinted glass I was worried about, but I would have just preferred to know everything so I don't turn around and get shafted by the insurance companies.

Thank goodness for this post.
I tried to look up my codes and I kept getting mixed up with the B and 8.
based on the codes here I can work out what mine are. :)

Was wondering why I had "Special requirements Zimbabwe" and 2 different "Front Shock Absorption" options!
