iirc bennys trouble was from a washer falling in his turbo? think it needed a bit of grinding down but not enough trouble to put people off it

I did have to grind abit of the flange to get it to fit as it fouled the head. It wasnt any hardship to grind it down but shouldnt of had to do it at all.

If i had been sombody else reading my thread i think it would have put me off but as it was kinetic said if anything was to go wrong id get a free manifold. Its been on for a couple of months now with no problems, certinatly felt the diffarance in pull.

Thanks for bringing that old thread up myki i was hoping that had died!!

if its advertised as a part that "fits" your car and then you have to modify it, in this case, grinding it to fit, then I would avoid it completely.....because in essence, it does not fit your car!!

I agree with you to a certain extent, but it seems that its only the ibiza that they have had a problem with, and i think its possible that my ibiza was the test monkey as i havent seen anybody else on the site with the same manni and they dont have ibizas in Canada/USA where this company is based. Its advertised for the 1.8T Transverse mounted engine not ibiza specific.

I was told that they had never experianced this problem before on any of the manni`s they have sold for the mk4 golf etc... So could it be possible we have a very slightly diffarent head when looked at externally?
