windows jamming /PROBLEM

Ive got a altea 2006 and when the drivers or passanger window goes down they are both fine , when it comes to close the windows it starts to squeak and stops and returns to the bottom again, also it only seems to do this on a hot day both back windows are fine . ive taken the door card of and put some grease on the runner but it still does it CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could try giving the window channels a good clean out with something blunt like a pen top, running it up and down a few times and be frim it could be that there is something in the channel that is activating the anti trap facility? even the smallest bit of muck can set it off.

thanks for that ALTEA XL but as i said in the post it only dos it when its warm . if its raining and cool tommorow then the windows will be fine , its like the runner that the window runs in expands when its warm and trys to jam or prevent the window from shutting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

whatever is causing it, its definatetly the anitrap thats kicking in and making it go down again.

Try a bit of PTFE spray on the door rubbers. Should ease the run of the window.
