Got my Mirror covers sprayed and im well happy with the result

Got them done locally for £50, Still to go back and get em machine polished.

Could you not get a new set for that price(cupra), paid £33 for leon cupra mirror cover, mind you still looks good

You'd still need to get them sprayed as only the shiny FR ones come pre-done now, all the other colours come as a primed cover only iirc.

Yeah you can get them from seat order boca ones only about 30 odd pound got them on my fr should be a thread some where on here with part numbers which I posted.

Spoke with few Dealers first and it didnt seem to be happenin lol there done now and im happy with it.

Anyone know a safe way to get the covers off? Expecting mine to arrive shortly and worried about causing damage

Pull the mirror off itself, push it in such a way tht u can get some purchase n itl pop off no problem, just take ur tym. Then you can get into the clips that hold the cover on, use a flat point screwdriver to pop em in and itl pull off.

Here's an interesting snippet form a certain other forum.

An update on the wing-mirrors from my dealer... The electric folding wing-mirrors on the Ibiza FR can be programmed via the VAG-COM (at the dealer) to automatically operate with the ignition on/off.

Would be interested in this myself, wondering how much they would charge?

Got a basic set of 2nd hand wing mirrors going on e-bay. Sold mine 2 weeks go and selling the mrs ones now. Be worth grabbig if you are looking to do the same as the other guys above.
