Wing Mirrors

Does anyone know anywhere that does decent aftermarket wing mirrors, ie not m3 or dtm!
I dont want 2 stubby mirrors, and to have 2 drivers side ones I dont know how id keep the sensor.
Ideally id want mk4 golf mirrors eitherside, my car is going into the bodyshop next year for some dents removed etc so would it be a lot of hassle to get them to fill the base holes and create new ones so they would slot on?

Driving me a bit nuts tbh!!!!

DTMs aint too bad. I only got em coz i needed a replacement drivers mirror and it was like £60+ whereas DTMs or M3s were £35 - £40. I wanted M3s, but were out o stock, so got DTMs, they have grown on me, and personally I don't think they look out of place on a Mk3

Dont like the DTM (no offence just not what im going for), dont like m3, at a push the m5 mirrors maybe just for something a bit different but would much prefer something OEM looking.

Cars going into the bodyshop sometime next year for dents removed and a respray so might ask if they can fill the holes on the door and make new ones to fit another style of VW/Skoda mirrors.

At the moment the choices look like............

Skoda Octavia (base plates look like the least amount of work needed? opinions?)

These are the m5 mirrors, which look ok i suppose but still want OEM look really, unsure how you would fix the temp sensor also?

I actually like the M5 mirrors, DTM's are horrid tho.

I'm the same tho, i prefer two larger mirrors, the small ones dont look right imo.

But who am i to comment on look, not as if i'm a product designer or anything... lol.

yeah i agree, out of the aftermarket ones the m5's are the best but im not convinced.
i reckon the octavia ones would look best, need to get one cheap to have a go to see how much work is involved fitting it though.
Stubby mirror looks good but poor visibility would get on my nerves.

Have you seen how big the sensor is? Its tiny, just drill a hole in the bottom of the casing and push it through and glue it with a glue gun.

Worrying about the sensor fitting would be the least of my worries.

lol that would be a no, i havent seen it.
but visibility wise, sounds really stupid and probably not a good test but if you sit on the passenger side and scroll the larger drivers side out you cant see what you could if it was a lhd passenger mirror, so swapping sides i feel a proper larger rhd passenger wing would be better than a lhd drivers side.
