Hello everyone,

I'm about to order rims and tyres for the oncoming Winter.

I've found a pack that im interested in and the spec for the rims (according to the website) is 8 x 18 | ET35 | 5/112.

Spec for tyres: 215/40R18

Is this the correct ET?

Second question: Anyone tried Achilles W101 tyres?

Third question: Is there enough space to fit 215/45 for a more comfy ride and maybe aswell a nicer look?

Cheers!

Tyre size is wrong and should be 225/40. Never tried Achilles tyres but I would be wary as they are a budget brand and generally wet weather grip will be a lot poorer than brand name. You get what you pay for with tyres and cheapest isn't best. Why spend thousands on a good car and then save a few hundred pounds by buying cheap tyres.

THIS - I'd be looking to spend good money on winter tyres if I were you. You pay for what you get.

I've just bought some from mrwinterwheels for my ibiza fr and for 340 odd quid I've got some steelies with goodyear Ultragrip 9 tyres. May be worth checking them out.
