For the last couple of days I've noticed the wipers are not completely returning to their usual position which made them almost invisible looking from outside the car. They are now clearly visible and spoil the sleek look of the car.

If the wipers’ functionality is the same as VW’s, when they stop in the resting position at the bottom of the screen the blades are designed not to rest on the same side of the blades each time - to minimise deformation of the blades and to help prolong their serviceable life. I dare say the rubber blades do sit slightly higher when resting on one side than do when resting on the other side.

I think the function in ‘VW speak’ is known as APP (alternating park position).

They should drop once they’ve been off for a while or the car has been switched off. They do tend to lift slightly during use

Are they not doing that?
No they are parked approx 3cm higher than before. I've read a very old post that mentions they don't fully drop when set in auto ( on when it senses rain) I haven't had chance to check this but I do know my wipers are set to auto but tge post I read was quite old and wasn't Terramar related but just VWG

Not Terramar but my well be the same. On my LEON (vertical park wipers), when the wipers are in Auto (and have been on) they rest about 1 to 2cm off vertical for a few moments, if they don’t sense rain after a minute or 2 they then park themselves in their normal position.

Thanks for the response but your situation is not quite the same as mine. My wipers go to the "normal " Park position but stop approx 3cm from the bottom horizontal position and are thus in view on the bottom of the windscreen.
