The problem in Norfolk is the one and only SEAT dealer also happens to be the local independent VW specialist. No savings to be made there.Cupra Kid said:which is why none of my cars go within a mile of a main dealer and to a local specialist who actually know how to fix broken parts, not just replace them
Hooper said:I agree, but I don't think it is just Seat, BMW and Mercedes now charge over £100 per hour for labour. Are you getting some one with a PHD working on your car?! Have to say I am now using VW/Audi specialist, last service for £99, Seat £180. Also, Coil packs go on these cars, common fault, do they keep them on shelf? No, VOR for 48 hours. Tried to order some nuts and bolts off the dealer recently, the ones that are supposed to be changed when you replace the suspension components. Cost £8.50. The dealer would not do it on trust, would not take a card over the phone, they wanted me to drive to them, pay and then they would order them in for me to collect another day. At this point I decided they could "go forth and multiply" and would not be seeing my car again. Oh yes and on first visit they tried to hand it back with a bent drivers door skin. Of course they denied it and when I threatened legal action they said it must have been hit by a customer. Well the customer must have opened the door and reversed it into a car ramp then, as the damage could only have been done by some one reversing with a door open, any one ever seen a Technician doing that, hmmmm! They did repair it in the end though, just to keep me happy apparently!
