hi guys . not been on for a few weeks , not bin bothered with the car

but have now found my insperation again & ordered some new bits for it


ditched the 16" fondmetal rims as ive bought a set of "big" brakes


new rims 17" oz zuper ts

also scored this mk2 golf gti 16v magnex 4 branch & center link pipe for £50.00 ( had small crack or 2 thats now been fixed )

also got sick of trying to recode the keyin & not haveing any joy .........so had an alarm fitted with central locking operation ....bargin £150.00 fitted with warrenty thanks tt eh guys at ik electronics / auto works in stockton 01642 607272

all for now will keep this updated as more toys arrive inthe post

Already got that in hand , bought these kool bits of kit to help with that

stub axle spacer plates ( no stressed bearings )

no its not a mk2 golf & stuff the detailing on this , its my work hose / green laner

trooper 3.1td thas usualy on its side or stuck up to its mirrors in mud

with 221k on the clock its still serving me well

Hi mate, cracking project uve got there. You from Boro then? As for the car, maybe red calipers? colour code lower trim all round and wheel spacers. Looks fab though

hi yes im from boro , have my own garage on snowdon road specilising in dub/seat conversions "oldskool performance"

yes was thinking red calipers too but the car parks on the street outside my house so wanna keep it plain jane at the mo.

dont like the full colourcoding of the lower trims so its staying black will just back to black it some when i can be arsed to clean it again.

ive got the 10mm rear stub axle spacers to goon , fronts im not sure about although i do have a wheel stud & nut conversion with 10mm/15mm spacers in my tool box may have a play about with them ??

That's the fella. That car had a habit of eating driveshafts cos of the power of the engine (we had to change one between quali and race at Brands ) so it's a good thing you got it there in the Cordoba

not in yet , sat my engine stand getting detailed 1st , kept eating driveshafts because it has alloy strut top mounts & all 3 engine mounts were soild so no give ripped the back gearbox mount out the subframe welds & all

well slight change of direction with this car now

17" oz rims are off now ( drove like a complete pig on 17"s)
6 pot brakes are off too ( too uncontrolable & harsh braking for a daily )

coilies have been sold leaving teh fw springs & shox on

original 280mm brakes are back on & the front ( black diamond grooved discs & mintex pads )
rear stub axle spacers are now moddified to fit round abs & new black diamond grooved discs & padgid fast road pads , new abs rings fitted

the fondmetal 16" stars are getting refurbed black next week & going back on
small k&n filter fitter (xxl dynatwist kept rattling )

as for the engine i think im gonna leave it alone as does reasonable mpg & aint got any probs

new interior fitted this week recaro cloth

sitting pretty now , what a difference the recaro seats are to sit in compared with the sx seats
