I've been seeing 35mpg this week, currently doing a 5-mile each way commute in stop start traffic. Not bad, but could be better.

Just been out on a 80 mile run, 70 of which was motorway, managed 55.9mpg according to the OBC:

Quite impressive for the 1.4 petrol IMO! This was with mostly sitting at 60 in the inside lane, but still shows the official figures can be achieved and exceeded.

The 1.4 16v 85PS SE (I think that's what your driving) has an extra urban figure of 60.1 mpg. So 55.9 mpg didn't quite exceed the official figure.

You exceeded the combined cycle figure but I think an 80 mile run with 70 miles of motorway qualifies as an extra urban journey. Travelling at a bit less than 60 mph will probably get you the extra 4.2 mpg no problem.

But I have to agree 55.9 mpg is very impressive for a petrol engine at 60 mph.

New 1.2TSi DSG.

I've just done the calculations for 7 brim-to-brim re-fuels. A lot of short run stop-start driving plus the occasional longer trip. Over 2440 miles the car has averaged 39.5mpg; worst was 35.7, best was 43.2.

Pretty much what I expected given the type of driving we have to do in Milton Keynes.

I have a 2009 1.6 Ibiza Sport. Done about 150 miles of mixed driving and achieved around 44MPG which I was pretty happy with as i'm not the more eco of drivers!

I did the worst fuel trip I have to do and I got 43.5mpg it's only about 3 miles driving round Leeds city centre at traffic time.

I guess if my worst trip it's as good as my average was it's Gota be better.

Only done 50miles since I got the car back so still early days

Not quite as bad as that :)

7.8 l/100km is about 36 mpg
11 l/100km is about 26 mpg

Divide into 282.5 to convert one to the other.

mine starts at 350ish when i fill up, and then after abit of driving goes up to 375/380 and always seems to stay around that figure for a few days.

filled up yesterday, and it crept up to 440! was long motorway drive that did it. computer said i got 52mpg for a 80mile trip
