was it that 915 colonite wax by any chance ? as i have gone with that and its on order. Every review i read said it was amazing stuff and i read a lot.
I've never used 915 but from what i can tell it seems to be a step up from 476s in the looks department... essentially giving similar levels of protection / durability with added gloss which imo 476s lacks on some paints.
Try collinite 845 insulator wax, easy on easy off, use on all paintwork, side windows, all black trim even the tiles in your shower. For me its the best wax i've ever used, and the bottle lasts for ages, best plase to buy is ebay. Mick.
try Autosmart's Wax, for £20 a pot its brilliant, ring autosmart to find your nearest stockist/rep and normally they come to you, well my local rep does anyway.
similar to AG HD Wax which is nearer £40 a pot.
if price is an issue then stick to what you use already if you cant see any difference in the products as you may be dissapointed.
Collinite 476s all the way. Used it on many cars/colours. Dead easy to use and deemed by many as the winter wax of choice due to durability.
Use a foam applicator and just don't put it on too thick or let it dry too long (like any wax I suppose). I wax two panels / buff off the first panel / wax another panel / buff off the second / etc / etc.
I discovered this wax called Colonite, really good stuff, isnt too expensive either! A coat of auto glym super resin polish followed by this gives a pretty good result!
Good advice,I have a shed full of polishes and this is a good combo gives the paint a "Fresh" look with the srp cleaners and as it contains fillers hides little swirls etc.Topped up with colonite seals for ages especially good winter time.

This is also my favorite wax. I've tried loads of the Dodo Juices, AG HD etc, and whilst they are all very good waxes...for the price the Collinite 845 is just as good, if not better than any of them. Plus its mega easy to get on and buff off. You should never apply a wax to a panel that hasn't been cleansed and polished anyways, but you can also layer this stuff fairly quickly instead of having to leave 24hour between coats like a lot of others.
As far as polish...take your pick. Dodo Juice Lime Prime is good, Poorboys Blackhole works great on dark paints, and the 3M range is the nuts, but i only ever polish with a DA these days. But then again if you keep your wax topped up and wash carefully you should only need to polish a couple of times a year.
