Guys & Girls, How much have you been paying for your short shifters? I have seen there was a company doing them for around £30 but apparently that was a special offer and now have gone back up to £60 + £6 postage, thing is my birthday is looming, and want to get as many mods from the misses...

just had a recon gearbox put in my 1.4 8v and a new clutch so far so good but the gear selector has too much play in every gear when i stick it in any gear i have about 5cm play on each side im also able to twist the gear stick cockwise and anti clock wise. im guessing is the bushes...

Since there is no short shifter available for the mk4 I am gona try to malk my own. Something along the lines of this. Only problem is there dont look like there is enough meat on the bracket to move it safely (to where the red circle is)!! I'm gona have another look when I get time at...
