Are remaps flagging up?

I'm looking at getting an AMD on my cupra when back and wondered if anyone has had any issues with warranty etc since having there car mapped. They say it may flag up a td1 but not certain.

It will throw up a TD1 flag according to what i've read. But here was one possed when i owned my MK2 Supercopa. I asked GTi world for a REVO remap. They said one wasn't available for my car. I went 30 miles up the road and a map was installed in my car. The gent then proceeded to say that they are allowed to install the software and keep the warrenty intact! we install the same software but may have problems. Not a chance.

Basically I'm guessing that the REVO dealership is integrated with car dealership so what they are doing is removing the file before its plugged in. no different that what anybody else does.

Mine was mapped, and has gone back, because of an issue with my cupra button, it goes through all the modes constantly. And the warranty is fine, I would of only had to pay, of resetting the ecu fixed the issue which it didn't. So 6 weeks in still haven't found the issue, and they are still going. All under warranty at the moment

did they prove to you they picked it up or did they just say "its remapped isnt it"?

Ive had them ring me up and ask me if im mapped before, for my handbrake issue, so even after 2 services and multiple return visits for other things they still didnt know i was mapped. I still think they have to really look to see a TD1, its still not a simple plug and shazzaaammm result imo

Yer, cause they believed the error code was causing my cupra button issue but, it never sorted it

well hopefully it was never recorded either, so you should still be a non-td1 member

Haha, lol mines only mapped atm but when it gets back it's going straight to stage 2 as managed to secure development products lol

Am considering one for mine but cautious of the potential warranty issues.

Gad tuning mapped it, but it isn't the file that's causing the issue. And warranty is still
Valid unless they can prove the map caused an issue

Am considering one for mine but cautious of the potential warranty issues.

Dealer might pay for warranty work to be carried out even if the car is modified but as soon as SEAT UK finds out the car is modified they wont pay the dealer for the warranty work, chances of the dealer doing warranty work knowing that SEAT UK aren't going to pay out is minimal.

The only approved ECU files in UK are factory ones. Its at the discretion of the countries SEAT HQ to warrant maps from other people, for example SEAT DE might offer an after market file.
