Car cutting out at low revs?

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help?

My Leon 1.4S 16v for the passed week has been cutting out on me "a lot". last night it cut out on me going round a roundabout, luckly it started up straight away. It also cut out on me going round a corner & the steering locked up & i ended up nearly not making it round the corner.

I live on a small island in the north west of Scotland & there are no specialist Seat garages up here. i'm planning on doing my first drive on my own to the mainland down to a big city but i'm a bit concerned about going now if my car is cutting out, its one thing cutting out on a small roundabout up here but to cut out in a busy city would be a scary idea for me.

Any ideas what may be causing this & how to fix it?

Sounds like your MAF sensor isnt connected.

Thanks, took the car to a local garage & the guy said that my car doesn't have a MAF Sensor, is he right?

He's wrong, also could be really dirty throttle body, especially if the revs drop really bad then it cuts out?

I'm not sure if they have one, i think that they do though? After the airbox is there a plug/connector that fits into the intake pipe?
