Car overheats at higher speeds!

Quick question,

Ive had a search but still dosnt narrow it down,

My Car is playing up. ( Mk 3 Sport )

its over heating , But not in traffic or doing around 0-40 only when i go above 60+ ?

then ill pull over and it will kool down again?

Im going to take out the stat tonight but just seeing if any one has ideas or know about this problem.

its quite a big job tbh, but when is your cambelt due ?

I was quoted the other day for a service and a new water pump and it was £428!!

no need do oil pump,

i got a 60k service, aux belt, cambelt kit inc tensioners ect and metal blade water pump and all fitted for £300...
