clean and engine bay shots from today

only posted a few night shots so far
generally not posted any pics of the car since i got it
couple of pics here

Had my seat sport gearknob about 6 months, good to see some others are cottoning on to the fact you dont need to pay 90 quid for one!

Engine- s3 upper brace and s3 lower brace, EIP short shift and dogbone went on before xmas at awesome gti
forge blue hoses all done myself so far, got 2 lower smic to do and the TIP!

You need to polish the inlet manifold to bring abit of light to your engine.

I did mine just this weekend and its fairly easy to do to.

Buy a polishing it of ebay first, i got the 3 stage type.

Then attack the manifold with a coarse sandpaper to flatten it back untill all pitting and lumps are gone then work up a few grades till smoother.
I used mainly my black and decker sander, its quicker and easyer on the fingers.

Then use 3 stage Metal polishing kit bought from ebay to make it shine and bobs your uncle.

See easy.
