I would love to see pictures of it to see if it is worth picking up these skirts and spoiler I ordered or if I should hold on.

I shouldn't get too flustered about it at the moment, I very much doubt anything will happen quickly going off SEAT normal procedures, of which I've had many years experience waiting for press releases for here.

They announced the new black or white wheel amends ages ago, and I believe they are only just filtering into the market now, due to the build dates.

I can't see anything being announced or revealed before New Year. They might choose Autosport as has been suggested to show off the amendment, but I'm not so sure.

Guess what! It's not going to be 4WD. ;)

Just in case anyone was wondering. :cartman:

If the new RS specs are true, then seat need to be looking for a 300bhp 4Wd spec to compete against it, its not as though they have much designing to do, they just have to take the parts from the parts bin ;)

I would think that depends if this 300bhp 4WD Focus whcih won't surface on the road until 2009 costs around £24k.

Then that might make SEAT/VW etc sit up and take some notice. But if it's high 20's then it's in a different sector really.

I would presume it's aimed at Scooby STI and Evo X price points.

The headlights are one of my fave bits of the car. Shame if they became an option (and don't look round corners). Not such a shame for the early adopters come resale time. ;) :)

Having looked at the pics of your car (side skirts) and knowing what Owens looks like, I think I am happy just to go ahead with the same kit. Looks good :D

Side skirts are a must IMHO they make it for me, i was in two mind's for a long time over the spoiler , i orderd it , cancelled it , re-orderd it, it looks so much better in real life ,im glad i got it put on, picture's don't do the spoiler justice.

I decided against the spoiler, the dealer didn't have stock when I wanted the car. I didn't feel it was essential enough to delay taking collection of the car, having already been without a car for 4 months at that stage. I was beginning to go a bit stir crazy as it was. :p

But if i had the spare cash i'd reconsider having one fitted, but I've more important things to put my cash towards at the moment. Glad I went for the side skirts though, they just help finish of the car's lines a bit better.

Always interested to know what they plan to do with the re-hash though, I wasn't a fan of the full Aero kit didn't like the slats in the bumper and the Peugeot wide mouth frog look.

UK dealers don't officially offer remaps certified by SEAT. However some have offered remap's by companies such as REVO as after market options that the dealer claims to warrant. It's not officially sanctioned though in the UK.

Some other countries do offer SEAT sanctioned upgrades, or other after market upgrades negotiated with the countries official importer, SEAT Force the official importer for SEAT in Greece did a deal with REVO.

SEAT in Europe offer their MPM upgrades, but as far as I am aware they are for diesels only.

Hey ZBoyd - Have you had your car mapped yet? If not, which map do you think you will go for if you do indeed want to get it mapped?

Edit: I dont like the Aero bumpers either, but Owens white car really sold me the side skirts and spoiler. Also convinced me to get my wheels powder coated black too.

one of my SEAT friends tells me that there is not much confirmed yet ... but it seems all will be is body kit that can be ordered factory installed. Kind of like how Mexico gets their Cupras.

I spoke with SEAT UK (the people who actually know not customer service) regarding this, they confirmed to me that they are still in the process of sorting out what the exact specification of the Leon Cupra will be in 2008, but have said 'nothing' dramatic will change.

SEAT are looking into offering buyers the opportunity to choose an 'off-the-shelf' Leon Cupra with some degree of visual enhancement (what kit or otherwise this will feature is still TBC).

But also still intend to offer the current version alongside it. The kit will be an option.

I've been told that over the coming couple of months more details will be available.

If they are waiting that long to announce the changes, will that mean that it is likekly to be for the model year 2009 change?
