I just got some replacement bulbs the other day and they are 5000k H7R's with the black out to stop glare, does anyone else have these if so, are yours quite yellow but when you look in the headlamp there is a green tint to them?

Thanks,
Danny.

I know I'm running a MK1, but I have these. Got them from hidsdirect. Not yellow at all mate, very white with a very very slight blue tinge!

Thanks for the reply mate :) Don't suppose you have a picture do you? From what I've seen an heard they should have a blue tint to them, which mine do at the top of the headlamp but when it hits the black strip to stop glare, it turns to a yellowy/greeny tint?

i had 5000k H7R's then got rid of them as the R part means you lose a lot of the "distance" the headlight travels.

i currently have normal 5000k H7's from hids4u.

5000 is the perfect colour, bright white with the slightest purply blue tint... they look more standard than 6k

EDITED To say dunno why urs are green

Right, yeah, I've had to adjust my headlights so they give me more distance, as I said the top of bulb is white with a tint of blue but the bottom is yellowy/green
So my next question is, can the anti glare coat be taken off or is it inside the bulb, don't really wonna send them back as I've had to send so many things back or forth to HIDS direct haha

Yeah, I know what you mean, I've worked all weekend so tomorrow is the first day I can have a proper look, all of the pictures I've seen show no greeness in them, I really don't get it, I have no idea what I could use to take it off, I always thought the black band was supposed to sit underneath the bulb, it's on top on mine with the conductive pole running underneath, is that correct? :)
Thanks for the help guys, just trying to determine whether these bulbs are faulty or something
