Leon 1.6 won't go above 3000 rpm

hi,
iv got a leon 1.6 16v and am having power problems, i was driving on the Mway when i lost all power once the engine was turned off then back on i had some power but could not go above 3000 revs.
had the AA out and they said needed new exchaused so got it replaced still can't go over 3000 revs. Have sent to garage and they changed coil packs and crank shaft sensor still no power.

can any one help

Has it had a diagnostic check/vagcom

yeah thats why exhaust the coil packs and crank shaft sensor have been changed as it says car is misfirering garage wouldn't tell me everything so got the car back before they prices went through the roof
