Alright folks,

Got an 07 cupra on Weds, chuffed to bits with it. Got a revo stage 1 done y'day - even more chuffed.

Took it to a rolling road, dyno'd at 281hp - not as chuffed!

With all the talk of +300hp i had my heart set on it. The engineer said there might be a boost leak on it. Problem is i didn't get it dyno'd prior to the remap and i didn't get an SPS.

Anyone had a similar problem or know a likely cause.

Power peaks at 281 hp at 5750RPM and holds at about 275 hp upto 6750RPM then nose dives.

Cheers,
Luke

would be worthwhile checking the car with VAG-cOM or a diagnostic tool for any fault codes. power band doesnt seems pretty good, but a bit low as you say.

Could be the DV noit holding up, but they seem to be pretty reliable in the K04 based cars. Any hissing noises?

Can't say i've heard any hissing noises, i rung the Revo dealer back and he said he'd look into it with them to see if its owt to do with the map.

The rolling road chap had a bit of a nightmare getting it on the rollers, said he couldn't strap it normally because of the plastic tray underneath, tried about five times. He said it might of been getting pulled down into the rollers causing tyres to distort. All the runs were pretty consistent around 280hp though.

If the DV goes faulty shouldn't it throw up some light on the dash or will it just produce a code on the ECU?

Cheers,
Luke

that would only happen mate if your car has been lowered.
i think 280 + is probably about right also its a dyno lottery , how does it drive? i also think it will get better with miles mate as the ecu adapts , what petrol you running?

Had a word with Revo head quarters today and apparently the map was set up wrong! Boost was set to 9 which is too high with no other mods to car. The car probably wasn't getting enough air on the RR so ECU was drawing back.

Been back to Revo dealer had it reset to what he thought was defaults. Car didn't feel right on the way home so i rung the headquarters and he's done it wrong again[:@]

I've ordered an SPS+ and the guys at the headquarters are going to preset 3 modes for me.

The car is staying put till its sorted as i'm not happy the current settigns are doing it any good.

It was a big relief. Thought i was gonna have a nightmare with it.

Looking forward to it with the map done properly. I was well impressed anyway, even with the boost all to ****. It had some right grunt low down. Wheel spin a big nuisance. Bye bye PZero's.

On a standard unmodded Cupra the Revo chip is supposed to take the 240bhp to 300bhp isn't it?

So looks like you have been done for 20 bhp!!

Hope you get ot sorted mate.

Thinling of one of these soon for myself.

Revo have a good reputation and a strong fan base so lets hope they set yours up correctly soon

I would also recommned the extra wedge for an SPS

Good luck

Don't worry its nowhere near you guys, its the one in West Yorkshire. The best dealers to go to will be the ones that have a rolling road and vagcom. It can all be set up properly with data logging etc.
