Yes I just need to be patient. I'm going to start buying the odd bit hear and there for the re build. I had a nice little play with a new Octavia VRS on the way home tonight. Playing tag while over taking on the A15. I think he expected to lose me. I just can't imagine what a stage II LCR is like.

Did him coming onto the straight, it felt great at the time I won't lie
Is your LCR not mapped?
Just when I think I've made up my mind! That's what I keep thinking. It'll probably be 18 months to two years other wise.
The other thing is I may be happy with how it is at stage two and not want to go any further.

No it's not mapped just Wellycooler, induction kit, 007p, Miltek cat back and B5 V1 TIP. I'm looking forward to see what it's making on the RR day coming up.
Mine made 241bhp with stage 2 mods but no map on a very cold day.
You will be around that at a guess mate. Only had the downpipe and decat extra over yours back then.
Personally I would say get it all mapped and see what you think of the performance. I went straight to stage 2 and love the fact I did it this way as I noticed a massive increase in performance and have been enjoying it ever since. Guess it all depends what your end goal is really. Mine was always to get it to stage 2 so went straight to that saving me money along the way
I plan on keeping it long term as my daily so it needs to be reliable. There's not many duel carriage ways or motorways around here. But lots of trackers, trucks and old people. So some extra power would be helpful.
It's easy to get carried away with all this talk of large port heads, relentless, WMI etc. I had some good fun tonight and maybe "just" a stage 2 map would be enough? I don't want to just keep plugging money into this car as I plan to buy a weekend toy at some point. How much is enough???

Just won a 225 steering wheel on eBay! It looks in good condition very excited as I hate the one that's on presently. Also I've decided to fit rods before going in search of more power. Patients isn't a virtue of mine but I want to do this properly and see a project through for once.
I saw that wheel on ebay. It looked in really good condition from the picture that I saw. I hope you got it for a reasonable price. The driving experience feels so much better with a chunkier and more purposeful wheel.

I'm not sure. For the price you can't beat the rods that never turn up and they're supposed to be in stock soon lol. I'm tempted to buy from Bill and fit them my self or get him to fit them. Also I have a few relatives in the states so I may buy them there and get them shipped over? If I bought from the states I'd get the Tuscan rods as there's not much price difference. If from Bill standard RD rods.
It's just knowing where to stop. I've had a few checky bids and offers on large port heads but haven't looked seriously yet. The relentless is a no brainer if the heads coming off. As is fitting new piston rings. Then you get into WMI and Bills large inlet manifold which can wait but would be good to fit pre mapping.
I need to be patient and not lose heart as I can't do things as fast as l want. I'm really enjoying my car at present. Fitting the steering wheel, front ARB and engine bay bits will keep me going for a while any way. I'm looking forward. To seeing how you get on with your diff tOm.

£133 delivered which is cheaper than the last few that's been on there. I know as I've been bidding on them lol. I can't belive he listed it before the pay day before Christmas. One of the last decent ones I bid on eBay went for £188 + p&p! can't wait to get it!
