Goodo now hurry up and fit it ;)

Haha you could do mate as long as you have an answer for me too :D - I would really appreciate that though Liam cheers :) Annoying me now can't leave it anywhere....

You get understeer!? Hell, I get everything but in my ibiza! must be the 1.8t engine... Let us know how much difference it makes, might be worth a bit of investment....

Id imagine a combination of the heavier engine, SEAT Sport Strut Brace, Front ARB & stiffer bushes have contributed to making it understeer heavily!

Ill let you know if its worthwhile :) Cost almost £270!

But its cold outside :(! Hahah, wont be on untill the weekend at the earliest because I dont get enough daylight hours in the day to do it :(!

Not a problem mate :) The drivers door card is on and off like a yo-yo ;)! Shouldnt take 5 minutes to check on the passenger side :)!

Cant you just push the door pin in when you leave the car? Or is that not locking it either?

Door pin doesn't want to move - when remote locked it sort of shuffles, but doesn't lock, doesn't even open from inside even when pulling on the metal hook which hooks into the handle... that's what really makes me think it's the mechanism - but seems odd that there's 2 sockets on the mechanism and only one wire to plug into it :s.

Wait and see what you find first :) cheers again :)

Joe, it'll probably be Friday by the time I get chance to take the door card off in the light, how desperate are you to find out?

Waiting on Ferodo DS2500's, Braided Hoses & Motul RBF660 Brake Fluid from Bill at the minute, tempted to change the rear pads aswell whilst im at it, £12.50 off VWSpares lol :)!

No worries Liam, Friday is good - it's safe to leave the car at work and at home the alarm works when the door's opened anyway...

I'm still bedding in the 2500's and Bills discs and braided lines are on too, you'll like the set up. I would do the rears too for that money - save you having to bed them in seperately :)

Cheers mate :)!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

All my parts turned up on Friday & Saturday whilst I was away from home, so they were all ready for me to fit on my return on Sunday morning. Strangely enough I was actually looking forward to doing it as with the rubbish weather I havent had chance to do much mechanical work to the car myself.

New bits; (Thank you to SERE Motors & VWSpares.co.uk)

Since my coolant was going to have to be drained anyway, I figured it would be a good time to swap my dirty old expansion tank for a nice new one, dirty old one about to be removed;

Old one in comparison to the new one;

New one fitted;

Another comparison with the new one whilst in situe;

I then reattached all the hoses and plugs id removed to allow easier access to remove the expansion tank and set on with removing the split rad hose.
nice car mate. do you have the part numbers for the trims on the seats in the pic as mine have snaped off and cant find them lol

Havent updated this in ages through pure lazy-ness! Trying to think of everything thats been done to it since my last update...

- New Dubmeister Plain Plate Surrounds & 3D Gel Plates (Sound disgusting but they're quite nice in reality!)
- Neuspeed Rear ARB fitted using Badger5 Brackets; now onto its hardest setting.
- New Leon Cupra Splitter finally fitted after 9 months without one
- Under-bonnet Sound Deadening removed

I've got pictures of everything thats been done so I'll upload those when I can be bothered ;)!

Neuspeed Rear ARB I'd recommend to anyone, car handles miles better now & feels a hell of alot more stable in the corners.

Removal of the Under-bonnet Sound Deadening was suggested by a friend and makes quite a sizeable difference to engine bay temperatures. Previously after letting the car sit and cool down for 10 minutes you still couldnt touch the inlet manifold, now with the Sound Deadening removed as soon as I pull up its only toasty warm! Engine noise & dump noise are slightly increased too :).

I have ordered a set of Ferodo DS2500's, Braided Brake Hoses & Motul RBF660 Brake fluid from Bill @ Badger5 - I had ordered this a few months ago but the order was never processed. Hopefully it all comes in time for the Castle Combe action day on the 9th of April :)!

Yup :) Uploading them all later!

Basically the Neuspeed Rear ARB is designed for a MK2 Golf, fits the MK3 Ibiza as it shares the same Rear Beam with the MK2 Golf - however the Ibiza is slightly narrower, so the ARB doesnt fit on the Ibiza as it would on a MK2 Golf. You need brackets to drop the ARB low enough for it to fit! No performance advantage unfortunately!

Got the ARB from Awesome GTI, who never stated anywhere on their site or during purchase that when fitting to a MK3 Ibiza it required adapter brackets. Sent them an email a few months back asking them to put it onto their website for anyone who is buying it in the future - they've completely ignored that email unfortunately! Wasnt interested in any kind of refund, was purely just feedback for them!
