Front bumper is a standard one they've fitted to disguise its final guise no doubt, subtle is what it should be, its one step up from a TFSI, TDI Sport, and a step down from the Cupra.

Make it too flashy, and the Cupra would need Blackpool Tower strapped to it to stand out above it :p Plus at the end of its life, they'll stick all the Cupra bits on it, like they have with the Ibiza's

Looking more and more likely they'll announce this car soon, and i'd be very surprised if it wasn't on the stands at the London International Motorshow in July.

Anyone know if Skoda are bringing a Diesel out in VRS guise .. might have to go looking at that.

I SOOOOOOO hate those wheels - but the rest of it is poor too!!

that looks a bit crapy ! what are the wheels all about , i actually think it looks a little cheap in all honesty, had high hopes for this car but if its gonna look like that then alot of LCR owners are just not gonna bother at trade in time...Hope the Cupra pulls somethin out of the hat. Also the interior just looks like its plastic ! Skoda Octavia VRS 2 is in a different league if the FR comes into production lookin like that then Seat are gonna have a problem !

no its gonna be a 2 ltr turbo from the Golf GTI 200ps and Skoda Octy VRS, cupra should hopefully be 240 PS when it goes on sale !

Totally agree with you. Looks wise the current Ibiza FR doesn't differ much from the standard one, different grills, twin exhaust and funny wing mirror covers. The most important changes should be made to the mechanicals...where it matters.

I know what you mean. Recently released cars are looking far more purposeful (not SEAT's). I suppose the Leon Mk1 concept is about 6+ years old now. Considering it was the runt of the Golf Mk1V chassis I suppose its lasted fairly well, but the R bodykit helped it weather the test of time a bit better. A still like the platimun R's subtle nature, but its not looking fresh by todays standards.

I do like SEAT, we have had 5 on the trot now. If I was going to put my hand in my pocket today I'm not sure the spanish brand would be top of my list. Depends on cash in hand and trade in value, but if I had to buy a car today with 20k'ish in my pocket I'd be hard pressed not to buy a 2nd hand RS4.

I think it looks okay - a few of you have said "if that's what it's going to look like then I'm not going to swap my LCR". Well, and I don't mean to be rude/snobbish that's the new FR, not the new Cupra

I have to say, not sure about those wheels either - liked them the first time I looked - it'd be nice to see a wider shot.

Interior looks good, seats, steering wheel, gear stick. Thought they might've changed the fascia to something different though, more sporty.

The badges on the front wings make me think that that spy shot of the red one with roofbox, roof lights and the aero (?) kit were of the FR - that white label and the TFSI badge. Although, I would've thought it would be badged FR on the sides. (apparently the white label is what they use to identify test mules, the number plates on that car are, I'm told, German trade plates so the white label is the car's unique identifier as the plates get swapped around).

There's some spy shots of the TT mkII and they have the same style red plates...

Not keen on the wheels, like the interior.

Still needs to grow on me if I have one, I would love the new Cupra model but if its going to be 240bhp I hate to think what the co2 figure will be ... just hopeing they do bring out a 200bhp TDI Cupra model if it looks ok.
