Well Tell loaded OBDEleven today, ran a scan picked up 3 non-relevant errors with respect to fueling, radar and headlight. Completed a full back and emailed to myself as you advised. Used a few free credits I had accumulated and instructed the one click apps to enable one press mirrors and optical parking sensors. Test after each application, ran the car and all seems good 👍. Will leave it a couple of days before I apply the last one, namely auto start / stop disabled....

The one I showed you, you email to yourself. The history one for each module I believe is on their servers.
Tell, out of curiosity... Is doing a full backup restore like a one click process or a very long winded coding exercise?

The latter. Not like a PC restore. Best not to really on it. E.g.. don't make a mistake. In the past Obdeleven systems have corrupted the long string, you look at the backup and rework the current long string as to how it was if it gets corrupted. That's how that works. 80s computing. The code is the string.

I have enabled optical parking assistant on my facelift FR which only has rear parking sensors and now have the graphical display on the screen to show how close to an object and was wondering is there a way to also enable the yellow left/right lines showing when the wheels are turning?

Oh my bad, didn't have my coffee this morning

What I meant was on the prefacelift FR or maybe the facelift ones as well, there is two yellow lines showing where the back direction is pointing

Škoda Kodiaqs have an option called "Electronic voice amplification".
I was wondering if there is any similar option for Seat Leon or if something like this can be done via coding?
Surely the Kodiaq may have more purpose built system for this but theoretically all that's needed is already installed in the car - microphone and speakers...

Hi my lad has just purchased a 2018 Seat Leon FR with rear parking sensors but no on screen display. After a quick look on here it looks like i can program the rear parking sensors to appear on the screen in the car.
In simple terms can any help with what I need to purchase , its looks like I will need a OBD eleven scan tool there are 3 different versions listed on Amazon starting at £49.99 can any advise what 1 I require.
Also do I need to purchase anything else at all ?

Obdeleven you are advised to buy the Pro license. The dongle with the micro payment apps are black box tools wrapped up. Not sure if any of them do the job you asked. The pro license which can be bought online from the developer / seller site unlocks the programming side like VCDS. Im not going to say whether you can do what you are asking. Others can comment.

The companies website:

The top line is the "next gen" device. That can be used with Android or iOS. Ultimate package lets you generate those micro payment app so Obdeleven can crowd source mods at your expensive which may or may not work. The other one is the Pro one gives you a years license of coding.

Next line down. Devices. Middle one waste of time. I got that, ring pull you don't need. If Android only go for the white one on the right, left one black (next Gen) does Android and iOS.

Next line down, Pro VAG Plan is the Pro license.

You can buy the device quick from Amazon on next day delivery etc and buy the Pro license online. Whichever is the cheapest. Pro license you can allow it to lapse and then it turns into a diagnostic only tool with those micro payment apps. You probably get most of the coding done in the first year of ownership. Old timers get the continues license prior to Obdeleven putting it on a subscription basis.

You can install the app before buy from the app stores and inspect the micro payment apps if you wish, although as said better coding which is just clicking menu options. You need to Google for these. Tried and tested etc. You'll find some here for sure. The core coding is the same against a platform across VAG, it's the light units which may differ etc.

There is an Obdeleven forum. Foreign user websites, Spanish contain many tips. German sites keep to what's legal in driving terms. Spanish sites don't. 😉

Can you send me one as well please, as I've already purchased a stand alone device, and want to add the parking display also.
I have rear parking sensors.
Thanks in advance, Chris.
Sorry the pm sent was totally unrelated to any functions of the device.

Bit of a crosspost, might be better in here anyway:

Whenever start stop enables / disables a status message appears on top of the infotainment display. To be clear, this isn't an error message. It's just telling me that start / stop has triggered or whatever. Which is pointless and annoying, it dims the display and irritates me. I have seen this asked before and it was suggested the message can be disabled in vehicle settings but I've tried deselecting the "start stop info" button under vehicle status settings and it still appears. I don't want to disable start stop, I just want to get rid of those messages and I'm not opposed to using ODBEleven to do so. However the guides all seem to be about disabling start stop entirely in ODBEleven, I just want the messages to go away.

Live with it. The voltage method which you have used just sets that flag. The engine doesn't stop. The message means I'd like to stop the engine but can't (due to the frig). I tend to see these whilst the engine is cold but later not so often just an A or something with a slash on it. Just smile when you see it 😍.

Haha fair enough. I will try! :)

While I'm here, can anyone offer up a list of "essential" ODBeleven modifications that are good for quality of life / no brainers the car probably should have had anyway?
