i have a pioneer cd player in my ibiza and when i take the head unit off at night, when i go to listen to the radio the next day it has not saved the radio stations, this problem only occurs when the front of the radio leaves the main unit. anyone got any advice on what this could be?

well i would say change the two cables around in the back as one will be a fork different colours? not sure about pioneer but i had the same problem with my last car head unit it was sony. swapped them round and it worked fine if you could post me a pic of the back of your head unit/wires ill tell you which ones.

it shouldnt be to difficult though

hope this helps mate

permanent +12v & +12v ignition are probably mixed up

check for a red & yellow wire having connectors in the loom as they are usually ready to swap over

check em first though but it's usually the problem

I've had fun with my new HU last couple of days. JVC, thought I'd give it a go. Got the perma +12v wired up no worries, but for some reason it had an extra connection on the red after the ISO adapter. Looked dodgy to me, but ended up being the correct connection for the Ignition feed - yellow did sod all, finally gave up and plugged both into red.

My previous HU, a Sony, was a yellow/red swap after the ISO adapter tho.

would that be in the back of the radio? or the actuall car wires?
