I am so bored without my car! :(

I been thinking about how to expand the detailing front and try some new products (ready for my own car detail when i get it back) so I have purchased some new products. I will expand the collection even further next month. I plan to offer different levels of services rather than just paint correction to cater for various cars and peoples needs.

Here is the new ones I bought.

Anyway tonight whilst the misses was on the computer I decided to polish up my foam lance as it was looking a little bit shabby.

Turbo is gone :(
-----
All avenues explored and final diagnoses is that the turbo has gone. The turbo is just boosting by itself and simply not behaving. Looks like going big turbo after all.

Well not being able to get into the car and do things I decided to try a new product and give my girlfriends car a clean.

I detailed my girlfriends car around 4 months ago http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=189004

Her car hadn't been washed since the detail so as you can imagine it was pretty dirty. I gave the car a good wash and to my joy it still was red not pink! Inspected the paint and it was pretty good still, probably because it wasn't touch by anyone else since. Only complaint would be it didn't have the shine and deepness in red it had before.

I decided to try Dodo Juice Need for Speed. It contains micro abrasives, sophisticated cleaning agents and carnauba wax. I applied NFS by machine and here are the results.

I also tried Megs PlastX for the first time. Pretty shock at how shiny these 11year old lights came out!

Car Update #3
-----

Turbo is officially dieing! :(

Its making strange "grinding" noises, overboosting causing the car to go into limp mode. VAGCOM is showing Charge Pressure Contr. Positive Deviation. The vains on the turbo are working as the actuator arm is still operating then normally. Tried with VAGCOM a vain exercise procedure however as stated it looks like its working correctly so it must be some other internal problem with the turbo.

Spoke to Shaun@AmD and looks like I will have to go big turbo route. Looks like a Turbodynamics turbo but which one? Going to have to do some research.

bad news that :( My car has been doing exactly the same with grinding noises, overboosting and limp mode. Didn't show anything on vagcom though  Its gone to JBS today for a hybrid k03s and a few other mods for a bit extra power ;) can't wait to get it back! Fitted coilovers this weekend just gone since its been sat doing nothing so it'll be like a completely new car when I get it back. :cartman:

Its on and its on like donkey kong - MD376 Big Turbo on the way
-----

Things look to be moving well! The turbo has been taken off the car and shipped to my turbo to TD for a refurb to a MD376 Stage 2 that produces 240-260BHP.

Here is how things should shape up if things go well.

Amd ship turbo to TD | Monday 19
TD receive my turbo and start work | Tuesday 20
TD hybrid my turbo | Wednesday 21
AmD receive turbo and start fitting | Thursday 22
AmD custom map the car | Friday 23
AmD finish of testing and Maz picks up | Saturday 24

Looks like 50/50 the car will be ready by Sat but one can only hope!
