Stage 1 remap

Hi i have a cupra leon st 300 i have had a tdi plug in on it for about 2 years ie warranty has now run out fuel on the chip was not bad on a run late 30s to early 40 mpg so had remap done fully stage 1 since i have had it done i now get 23 to 26 mpg on a run round town 23 is this normal currently running 389bhp 502 nm
Ps i also had the dsg mapped as well
Any info much appreciated fuel usage driving me mad

Shouldn’t necessarily reduce economy. Unless your driving style has become more aggressive. I get high 20s to mid 30s normally on my stage 1 Leon Cupra 280, and that’s with normal, non-vigorous driving. High 30s on a run. I don’t have a DSG map. If the DSG map keeps the box in lower gears at higher revs all the time, then I can see why economy may be reduced.

Is the MPG readout from the dash, or calculated from fill ups? My understanding was that plug in tuning box’s wouldn’t give an accurate reading due to the way they intercept sensors to increase power

Hi it’s the same in all modes eco it changes up as it did prior it only keeps in lower gears in cupra mode
