Going to take it in to Seat this week hopefully as there is rust starting on the drivers door, so will claim it under the anti-corrosion warrenty.

But all in all I feel it polishes up well for 147,000 miles!!

Ok. so not managed to pick up the rest of the exhaust yet :(

But, Today I travelled 130 miles to P-Torque.

Turned up, to find a rather tasty R8, 2 Mini cooper S' Parked outside and a Lovely Orange S3 inside.

His workshop is spotless, and very well presented. I'm an ex-Renaultsport specialist tech so I know how nice it is to see and work in a clean enviornment.

Will Came out and intorduced himeself, and offered a Drink, Which was nice considering most garages wouldnt offer anything like that! And actually asked if it was ok to Run another car on the rollers before getting mine on! Of course I had no problem with it as the car was there before mine!

Will Ran through a few pre-checks and then Ran it on the rollers before doing the map. Then did a post map run and the results were impressive!

Asked me to take it out for a run before telling me the figures, which I personally see as being very professional, as it allows you to make up your own mind before hearing the increase.

On the journey down, varying speed(60-100leptons) and traffic it averaged 46.9mpg. The return journey, which had alot of accelerating(with a smile!) saw an increase on average of 8mpg!

Without saying final figures as these vary so much between Rolling roads, Increase was 39.2BHP and 66.6lb/ft. And its a totally different car. I wish i had it done sooner!

Can't recommend Will enough, for general customer service, taking the time to speak to you on the phone and in person, he was very welcoming and even supplied 2 stickers for me when I asked! Aswell as his maps. one very very pleased customer.

Hmm how odd mine had a paint depth gauge used!

Anyway!
Yesterday i left somerset at midnight for Dover. Made the 4am sailing and made way to Belgium for the family holiday. I was muchly impressed by how well it cruises at high motorway speeds. Caught my parents up on the m25, and sat behind them to Dover. After that I was sitting at 50-60mph and averaged 69mpg all the way to a small town just outside if Antwerpen. Total mileage : 376.9 fuel used - 1/4 tank :-D and with a family holiday so close to Germany, well it'd be rude not to travel 2hrs each way just for the ring! So this morning me and dad set off nurburg bound! 2.5hrs later we arrived!

At 12pm Found the ring would be opening at 130-2 so purchased a lap, and went to the devils diner for some lunch:

After lunch we stood about waiting for it to open so took a pic of the car in the carpark

Soon after that it was announced the track was open so off I went! I wasn't really going to time it as that's when mistakes happen, especially as it was my first time. All I can say is my xbox experience paid off slightly, not in knowing the bends, but roughly what to expect! I did reset the MFA as I Went under the bridge, just for a rough time, I was following a z4 that wasn't really present on so was a nice pace until the karussel where I used it and he didn't so got past him there. In total it just clicked 12mins as I came onto the straight. So roughly a 12.15 BTG. Pretty happy with that in a diesel, on my first ever lap!

I will be going next year with the Clio :-D
