Well the village of Inverallocy up beside the broch. So hey we speak a different language to everyone else half the time

Was just in for the quote for the full respray if we do all the prepping, a friend of my dad got a water based booth in for painting who has a bodyshop up in the broch, seen some of his work and it looks sh1t hot. So the respray will be happpening before xmas.

Also got the car raised 30mm today thanks to Rossco and his knowlege.

Will certainly try to get along to a few meets after xmas, as i have alot on at the moment, i know the eastide boys meet on a tuesday night so will try and make that.

i'm not shy so i will prolly just turn up.

Rock on the brochers,

You wont for a while either unless you catch a glimpse of it to and form the garage or bodyshop, keeping it off the road till after xmas.

Also got two new uniroyal rainsports fitted to the front, closet tread pattern i could get for my goodyear eagle f1's on the back.

Anyone know if you can adjust the camber as my passenger front wheel is sitting well out at the bottom? the reason one of the tyres were knackered.

Alright dude, nice car.

Looks like you have a very good starting place.
We have meets in the Aberdeenshire area, there is another yellow one comes along.
He has 2 piece discs, a remap, FMIC, coilovers.

I'd hold off on the poly bushes if your finding your car to be too stiff on the handling already.
But even just change these bushes for the OEM ones, Seremotors (forum sponsors) will help you out with a good price.

Who are you getting to do your respray?

Nice car to have to fiddle with, I tried to buy one 6 years ago but they were like hens teeth then so will be even more rare now.

Check out the Scottish section for meets

I dont find it too stiff was just too low couldn't get about anywhere.

Where about in the aberdeenshire?

After the mess a had at G&A's went to a local guy in fraserburgh just started up autobodys in Love lane know his first name is gordon, his work looks good.

Just bought it not long ago but have plenty of plans for it as in stutbraces, anti roll bars, tt shifter, , forge tip, forge dv, fmic and a revo or custom code remap undecided. just a liitle list of what i can remember. Need to wait till after xmas to see if i get a payrise from work and that

Thats why i bought it straight away when it went up for sale do seem pretty rare.

The other Ibiza R is in Forres so more Morayshire than Aberdeenshire.

I thought you were complaining about the stiffness. If you can get over the speed bumps at the 'Flaggie' your nae running too low;)

Never mind them i couldn't get into the legion car park where i park my car regularly, or even the broadgate speedbumps, the collies were wound down to the bumpstops. Since its been raised a tad its much better to drive. Your not another brocher are you?

No no, as above the car won't be getting used unless its going from my garage to the car garage to get on the ramps really. so dont need to worry about the grit and salt. I still have my pug30 as a daily hack.

Reminds me will have to get the car undersealed at the weekend.

Well been busy this weekend getting the car stripped down and sanded all repairs done ready for getting painted.

I agreed with the painter i would do all the prep work, i wish i hadn't its alot of work. saved a few pennies though.

Went through alot of 400grit 800 grit sanding discs, minimal cataloy though just skimmed across the bottom of the front bumper and numberplate holes i am fussy.

Handy having a dad who used to work in a body shop for years.

Action shot of dad hard at work

Photos of all our hard work (blood sweat and a hell of alot of swearing)

Need to order a cai off off flea bay as the piper thing kills the maf.

What a bumper design, pain in the neck to get those bumper strips off, they needed to come off as couldnt be bothered masking them anyway.

Car trailor should be here today and the car can go into the bodyshop. arches also to be sandblasted and filled at the bodyshop.

Bye bye faded paint, rust and laquer peel.

Also the common fuse problem happened to me aswell

PC070047.jpg

Cleaned the contacts and new fuse in all is well for now.

New maf has arrived so that is on the list to be fitted.

The prep work is the worst bit. It'll be worth all the hard work once it's finished though :)

If you saw it you couldn’t forget it my crazy ideas being 17.lol.

No it will be going back in the garage after its painted, got plans for it and keeping it off the road as long as i can bare to as I still have the 306 to run about in.

a know what a pain that 40mph is pointless if you ask me.

Basically am getting the car back to mint condition, thinking a may get pps to refurb the wheels when the funds allow. Their not bad really couple have some light scuffing.

Fl@pper when I saw it for sale locally it was too good of an opportunity to miss, a do like the yellow.

I have a omp rear strutbrace in the shed to fit at some point, will wait till i get the front and lower ones i think, have to see what santa brings.

Well update guys got the car back from the bodyshop and finally starting to piece it all back together, will get picks of the progress, nearly finished, All nice and shiney now bye bye faded onvi paint and lacquer peel

Painting the bump strips and the chrome grill surrounds Ancathrite sp that dark off grey colour.

Cai has come from ebay and new maf from seat to be fitted. Trial fit the cai while I wait on red sfs hoses as it has come with blue! And want to go with a red and yellow theme with the car. Also thinking about a forge tip if they do them in red? And a catch tank is it really worth doing those two mods? Will also be getting a forge dv in the near future. Hopefully move my battery to the boot over the xmas period.

Have ordered smoked side repeaters as I broke the old ones taking them off, also aero wiper blades ordered. Also new driver’s side electric window switches old ones broke while taking the car apart. Just have to wait to see what Santa brings.
