CUPRA has revealed a new Black Edition version of the Tavascan, giving its all-electric SUV coupé a darker and more aggressive look inside and out.
The new model builds on the Tavascan’s already bold design with a series of black styling details, while also tying in with CUPRA’s growing Black Edition line-up.
A darker take on the Tavascan
The biggest change is visual. Midnight Black is the signature finish for the new edition, although CUPRA says the package will also be available with the wider exterior colour range.
Across the outside, the Tavascan Black Edition gets black front bumper grilles, black mirror caps and darker lower body cladding. Buyers will also be able to choose between 20-inch HECKLA and 21-inch KATLA matt black alloy wheels, which help give the car an even stronger stance.
Inside, the same theme continues. The dashboard spine and door mouldings get Fusion Metal detailing, while black trim finishes across the cabin give it a more technical and more focused feel. CUPRA has also fitted Black Soul Bucket seats trimmed in sustainable Dinamica upholstery, combining the darker look with the same supportive seating the Tavascan is already known for.

Immersive and Adrenaline packs required
The Black Edition is only available alongside CUPRA’s Immersive and Adrenaline packs, so this is not being pitched as a stripped-back styling option.
That means Black Edition cars will also come with a stronger equipment list, including electrically adjustable heated front seats with memory, ambient lighting, the Sennheiser sound system, Dynamic Chassis Control, a panoramic sunroof and a wider set of driver information and assistance features.
In other words, the Black Edition is very much aimed at buyers who want the full visual effect and a higher-spec Tavascan to go with it.

Another addition to CUPRA’s Black Edition line-up
CUPRA says the Tavascan Black Edition is the latest addition to its expanding Black Edition family, giving one of the brand’s most important electric models the same darker treatment already seen elsewhere in the range.
As CUPRA’s first fully electric SUV coupé, the Tavascan already plays a key role in the brand’s electric push, and this new version is clearly aimed at buyers who want something a bit more distinctive without moving away from the standard car’s overall character.
Production of the Tavascan Black Edition is due to begin this summer.
