CUPRA set for Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb with more to come

CUPRA will make its Goodwood Festival of Speed debut in July, with the electric Raval taking centre stage alongside further announcements and hill climb action.

CUPRA has confirmed it will make its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, with the all-electric Raval set to play a leading role as the brand heads to one of the UK’s biggest automotive events for the first time.

The brand says it has several announcements planned for Goodwood, alongside dynamic appearances on the hill and what it describes as a broader showcase of its Barcelona-born performance and electrification push.

Raval to take centre stage

The new CUPRA Raval will be one of the main focuses of the brand’s Goodwood appearance, giving visitors a closer look at CUPRA’s vision for urban electric performance.

That makes sense, given how important the Raval is to the brand’s future line-up. Goodwood gives CUPRA a high-profile stage in front of both enthusiasts and media, and the Raval is clearly the model it wants front and centre as it pushes further into electrification.

More than just one car

CUPRA is also hinting at more to come than just the Raval. The brand says it is preparing several announcements for the event, but has stopped short of confirming exactly what they will be.

It has also been said that two special models will take on the famous hill climb across all four days of the festival, suggesting there could be more interesting machinery on show than the initial headline might suggest.

A natural fit for Goodwood

In many ways, Goodwood feels like an obvious stage for CUPRA. The Festival of Speed has become one of the biggest dates in the UK car calendar, mixing motorsport, performance road cars, concept reveals and brand showcases in a way that suits CUPRA’s design-led and slightly disruptive image.

With the event taking place in the grounds of Goodwood House in West Sussex, it gives the brand a chance to put itself in front of a large UK audience while also making a statement about where it sees itself in the wider performance and EV conversation.

The 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from Thursday 9 July to Sunday 12 July.
