CUPRA Raval passes 50,000 orders as new ABT pack makes Paris debut

CUPRA Raval passes 50,000 orders as a new CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT pack debuts in Paris, with more technology and features also confirmed for 2027.

The CUPRA Raval has passed 50,000 customer orders just six months after its launch, as CUPRA uses the Paris Motor Show to reveal a new CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT package for its compact electric car.

CUPRA says the Raval is now the most successful new-model launch in the brand’s history, with orders more than double its original forecasts. Almost 15,000 cars have already been delivered since the model was introduced in April.

The strong start comes as CUPRA continues to grow overall, delivering more than 250,000 vehicles between January and September 2026, up 2% year on year.

Electric demand is growing considerably faster. CUPRA says orders for its fully electric models increased by 79% to more than 108,000 during the first nine months of the year, while BEV orders were up 158% during the third quarter alone. Almost half of all CUPRA orders placed during Q3 were for an electric model.

“The CUPRA Raval marks the completion of the biggest transformation in our company’s history and years of investment to electrify Martorell. Today, it has become the most successful launch in CUPRA’s history, turning that industrial milestone into real commercial momentum. As we showcase our latest innovations in Paris, the CUPRA Raval continues to drive our growth and demonstrates the full potential of the brand.”

Markus Haupt, CEO of SEAT & CUPRA

CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT comes to the Raval

Alongside the sales figures, CUPRA has revealed the first CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT package for the Raval.

Following similar packages for the Leon and Formentor, the Raval treatment takes inspiration from the UrbanRebel concept and adds a range of more aggressive exterior details.

The package includes:

  • Front splitter
  • Rear splitter
  • Side skirts
  • Larger roof spoiler
  • Rear winglets
  • 19-inch Sport Black Matt alloy wheels
  • ABT lettering
  • Dark Chrome CUPRA logos
  • Bespoke interior details

Together, the changes give the Raval a lower and more aggressive appearance without turning it into a separate performance model.

The CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT package will become available through the configurator on selected Raval variants from the end of November 2026.

Cars ordered with the package from new will have the components handcrafted at the CUPRA Racing Factory before installation. Existing Raval owners will also be able to add the package later through authorised CUPRA dealers.

“By September, CUPRA delivered more than 250,000 vehicles, up 2% year on year, with the CUPRA Raval exceeding all expectations with more than 50,000 orders since its launch. With our ambition to reach 100,000 units next year, the Raval is on track to become CUPRA’s best-selling model.”

Sven Schuwirth, Vice President for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales at SEAT & CUPRA

More Raval features coming in 2027

CUPRA has also confirmed several new features planned for the Raval early next year.

These include an illuminated CUPRA logo and indicators capable of projecting externally, along with a higher maximum speed of up to 190km/h.

A new reversing assistant will also be introduced, allowing the car to automatically retrace up to 50 metres of its previous forward route.

The additions suggest CUPRA is already developing the Raval beyond its initial launch specification, despite the model only reaching customers earlier this year.

Raval becoming central to CUPRA’s growth

The early numbers underline just how important the Raval has become to CUPRA.

It is not simply another addition to the range. Production forms part of the Volkswagen Group’s Electric Urban Car Family at Martorell following more than €3 billion of investment in electrifying the Spanish plant.

With more than 50,000 orders already secured and CUPRA targeting 100,000 Raval sales next year, the brand believes the compact EV could become its best-selling model.

Adding the CUSTOM CUPRA by ABT package so soon after launch also gives CUPRA another way to differentiate the Raval as more electric compact cars arrive on the market.

Despite the official (UK) release's exact wording saying:

"Customers can also add the customisation pack after purchasing their vehicle through the CUPRA dealer network, where it will be fitted by authorised CUPRA specialists."

We've asked UK HQ and been told:

"Factory order for UK only at the moment"

The same happened with the Leon and Formentor.

Looks quite nice (probably could do without those 3 whatever you'd call it buldging parts at the fender) but probably costs more than seems reasonable that often is the case with styling kits. :)

I don't know about you but I actually think I prefer the front without the added leds there, seems more clean, the added roof spoiler, the side skirts make it look nicer though and love the dark rims. Not sure about the added front and rear splitters, doesn't make it any better looking to me, might be "too much" for it, like glued on top, too forced on a design that already worked well as such.

I think Raval looks subjectively the best of the 3 models with ABT packs. 50.000 is a nice number so far, seems they've done something right about this car.

The body kit looks OK already on the German configurator maybe a bit too much detailing over the wheel arches and a shame you cannot choose the elements you like for fitment, assume that will come later when you can after purchase. I do like the wheels though but look very similar to the snowflake wheels fitted to the Alpine A290.

Yea 1700€ extra so while not out of this world expensive for a styling kit from a manufacturer itself, to me some of the details are a bit over-the-top, would at least have considered an option say ~1000€ for added spoiler and side skirt and wheels.
