To liberate that extra power there's a revised turbocharger, while the pistons and connecting rods have been strengthened. Larger injectors and a new cylinder head also feature.

revised turbocharger eh? Must be a k04 then. Has to be very simalar to the S3 BHZ i reckon.

Interesting price too! £19,595. not bad i'd say.

Pretty much what we were expecting I think. Especially the comments on the styling, or lack of.

the cupra's turbo part number is 06F145701E BWJ engine code if some knows the audi S3's part number we can compare (anyone work for audi)

hhmm interesting review, will read top gears one now.But what we all need to remember is, that these people drive around in cars all the time, and most of them are top iof the range cars like BMW's, mercs, ferraris etc etc so a 20k hatchback probably wouldnt excite them as much as it would us, personally im not gonna make my mind up till i have driven one. Just mho.

It is.

It's also one of the shortest.

At the end of the day it'll come down to personal preference. People will drive a Golf, Focus and Cupra and decide on which is best. And it wouldn't surprise me that people who buy one is that came down to value for money.

Seat should sell loads of them like they did with the old one.

I actually think the reviews aren't that bad. They are missing the point that the Leon is better VFM than a Golf GTi and it really cannot look as bad (and as common) as the ST.
We should think back to what was said about the LCR:

Detect a theme? I would hardly say a remapped LCR is "almost too smooth".

i was hoping for a more hardcore cupra and if its down the pecking order to the astra and focus makes me want to drive it even more
maybe they will do a face lift or a few tweeks if its not a good seller

I don't think the reviews are too bad.

But £19.5k isn't cheap though. especially when a Gol GtT is £20k (and tunable) and Focus is a fair bit cheaper still.

If the suspension is a little soft, then I would upgrade it. No real issues for me!! I so want one.
